Make Tired Paint
Look New Again

Swirls, haze, oxidation, brush marks, trail scratches, and years of bad washing can make good paint look dead. Paint correction brings back gloss, clarity, and depth before wax, sealant, PPF, or ceramic coating.

Simple Choices

1-Step, 2-Step & 3-Step Paint Correction

Not every vehicle needs the same level of polishing. We inspect the paint first, then recommend the safest correction level based on condition, expectations, and how much clear coat we should preserve.

Better / Most Common

2-Step Paint Correction

$300

A heavier correction step to remove more defects, followed by a refining polish to finish the paint clean and glossy.

  • Best for moderate swirls and scratches
  • Good for older daily drivers
  • Removes more wash damage than 1-step
  • Refines the finish after heavier cutting

Pick this if: the paint has obvious swirls, water spots, or moderate scratches.

Best / Heavy Restoration

3-Step Paint Correction

$450

Our most aggressive correction process for heavily neglected paint that needs serious polishing to look new again.

  • Best for heavily scratched vehicles
  • Great for trail rash and brush marks
  • Ideal for cars run through woods or neglected for years
  • Built for maximum gloss and clarity

Pick this if: the vehicle has been abused, trail-ridden, brush-scratched, or ignored for a long time.

What It Fixes

Paint Correction Removes
The Damage You See In The Sun

Those spiderweb swirls under gas station lights, cloudy paint after years of automatic washes, light scratches from brush, oxidation, water spots, and dull clear coat — that is what paint correction is for. We polish the clear coat so light reflects clean again.

Honest Limits

Some Scratches Should Not
Be Chased Forever

If a scratch is through the clear coat, catches your fingernail hard, shows primer or metal, or sits in failing clear coat, polishing cannot safely make it disappear. We can often improve how it looks, but touch-up, sanding, or body work may be the right fix.

Swirl Removal, Scratch Reduction & Gloss Restoration

Mr. Detail offers paint correction for cars, trucks, SUVs, work vehicles, dealership inventory, ceramic coating prep, and neglected paint that needs more than a wash and wax.

Swirl Mark Removal

Reduce wash swirls, towel marks, holograms, and haze so the paint looks deeper and cleaner in direct sun.

Scratch Reduction

Light to moderate clear-coat scratches can often be reduced dramatically. Deep scratches may improve but may not fully disappear safely.

Ceramic Coating Prep

Correction before ceramic coating helps the coating look better, bond cleaner, and lock in a glossier finish.

Paint Correction FAQ

Questions Before We Polish Your Vehicle

Do I need 1-step or 2-step correction?

If you mostly want better shine, 1-step may be enough. If the paint has visible swirls, water spots, or moderate scratches, 2-step usually gives a cleaner result.

When does a vehicle need 3-step correction?

3-step correction is for heavy neglect: brush scratches, trail rash, severe swirls, oxidized paint, or vehicles that have been run through woods or poorly washed for years.

Can you make it perfect?

Sometimes close, but safe correction matters more than chasing every defect. We do not want to remove too much clear coat just to chase one deep scratch.

Should I coat the vehicle after correction?

Yes if you want the result to last. After correction, ceramic coating helps preserve the gloss and makes the vehicle easier to wash.

How do you price paint correction?

Paint correction is quoted after inspection because size, paint hardness, defect depth, oxidation, and your expectations all change the time required.

Can you fix trail scratches from woods?

Many trail and brush marks can be improved heavily, especially if they are in the clear coat. Deep gouges through the clear coat may need touch-up or body work.
